1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how top-founders.com ("we", "us") collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you use our website and services.

2. Data we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

  • Account data: name, email, authentication/session identifiers, workspace membership and role.
  • Billing data: plan, seats, Stripe customer/subscription IDs and billing events (card details are processed by Stripe, not stored by us).
  • Consent & purchase evidence: the Terms version you accepted, acceptance and purchase timestamps, and the IP address used at Terms acceptance and at subscribing. We retain this to operate billing and to prevent and dispute fraudulent chargebacks.
  • Product input/output data: URLs, analysis requests, generated report metadata, and watchlist settings.
  • Support/contact data: information you submit through contact forms and customer support.
  • Security/technical data: IP address, device/browser logs, request metadata, anti-abuse signals (including reCAPTCHA verification signals).

3. How we use data

  • Provide, maintain, and secure the Service.
  • Authenticate users and manage organizations, teams, and permissions.
  • Process subscriptions, billing operations, and invoices.
  • Run analyses and watch features requested by users.
  • Respond to support and sales requests.
  • Detect abuse, fraud, and service misuse.
  • Improve product reliability and user experience.

4. Legal bases

Where required by applicable law (including GDPR/UK GDPR), we process data under one or more of these legal bases: performance of a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and consent (where requested).

5. Processors and third parties

We use service providers to operate the platform, including:

  • AWS (hosting, database, email infrastructure in our configured regions).
  • Stripe (payment processing, subscription billing).
  • Google reCAPTCHA (bot and abuse prevention for contact submissions).

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

6. Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal, accounting, and security obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data category and legal requirements.

7. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries outside your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational controls designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

To exercise these rights, contact us via /contact.

10. Children

The Service is intended for professional users and founders. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take steps to delete that information.
